Working principle:

Laser Tachometer points to a reflective surface (supplied) or white paint.

Whenever the laser meets the "reflective", it counts 1 rotation.

Use in automobile:

Just stick a "tip" of the reflecting on the "flywheel", start the vehicle and point the laser to the "reflective", it will display the rotation speed in rotation per minute on the LCD screen.
